Every year, on the first Wednesday in December, CIBC Capital Markets employees and CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors give back to their communities by donating their fees and commissions to charities that are helping kids rise above. Since its inception, CIBC Miracle Day has raised nearly $85 million for children’s charities across Canada and $234 million globally. 2016’s fundraising will take place Wednesday, December 7.
Locally, CIBC Miracle Day has been a major sponsor of our Annual Children’s Burn Camp ( Camp Phoenix North). Each year, 25 – 35 children ages 5 – 16 who have been patients in the Firefighters Burn Fund Children’s Burn Unit are hosted free of charge in a camp experience designed to let them enjoy time with their peers, free of stares or taunts because of their scars.
