On October 8, Manitobans will learn about the official Kickoff of the S.A.F.E. Family program at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game. This program promotes the installation of smoke alarms in homes that currently have none. To celebrate the kick off of the S.A.F.E. Family program, the Firefighters Burn Fund, for the first time, will be offering a special challenge coin for $10.00. They will be available at the October 8 Bomber game and other locations to be announced later.
Find out more »This year, Fire Prevention Week runs from October 9 – 13. The official kick off in Winnipeg will take place at Shaughnessy Park School. Fire Stations in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba will be open to the public starting at 12 noon October 15.

The Lance Spencer Memorial Fire Truck Pull will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Winnipeg Beach. The Winnipeg Beach Fire Department is inviting teams to register to challenge Gimli Fire and Rescue and the Fraserwood Fire Team who have won the past two years!
